How To Be an Authentic Person Explained
An authentic person’s authenticity is in the daily expression of their core beliefs and personality. The more critical part of the authenticity question is to look at the person’s character. What’s behind what they say? To be authentic, you need to examine and accept yourself for who you are. To get freedom with more excellent mental, emotional, and spiritual health. You must be willing to go on a journey that will transform your life.
This journey will need your full participation. When a person is authentic, it means that they act in genuine ways and show how they feel. Rather than putting on different faces. Around different people or tailoring their personalities based on their surroundings. My heart desires to be empowered. To grow into my God-created authentic self. To liberate the souls of humanity who desire to take that journey to do the same. My relationship with God has given me the strength and power to live in the liberty created for me to be free.
Authentic people display a consistent set of values.
We currently live in a world where some have a belief in God. While others may not at all or not in the same way as a group of others who may believe in God. But express their allegiance through their religion. Their way! The truth of the matter is we are all human beings who have souls. We are spirit beings, living in dirty bodies, which own a living soul. The moral decay and the foolish concepts in the hearts of humankind have raised the question.
How do we return to the original purpose and intent for which we all live and should have our very existence? How are our souls realigned with love, joy, peace, health, wealth, prosperity, and success? Where do we start? What does it mean to be an authentic soul? How can we empower ourselves to live more authentically? These are questions that we should explore and meditate on. Get answers to move us toward our goal of authentic living.
One of my favorite teachers to ever walk the earth is a Rabbi named Jesus. He stated, “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me, and you’ll recover your life.”
“I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me, and you’ll learn to live free and light.” (Matthew 11:29-30 MSG)
On my journey, I went looking for this rest and what it meant.
In my search for knowledge and wisdom. I found a book by Cindy Trimm entitled “The 40-Day Soul Fast: Your Journey to Authentic Living”.
It is about finding rest and restoration for your soul.
Dr. Trimm states, “When all is well with the souls of humanity, all will be well in the world.” As individuals, we must be the difference we want to see in the world. As individual souls, we must be the change, the love, and the peace we want to experience in society. It will be electric, contagious, and spill over into our environment and the world. I am eager to take this journey, and hopefully, you who are reading this will take it with me. Together, we will be the change we desire to see. One of the most insightful and misunderstood things. That keeps us from running with purpose and confidence.
The precise or trivial details tie up our souls, creating soul ties through experiences, events, habits, relationships, desires, objectives, and spirits. That ensnare our souls and hold us back from our God-given purpose. These entanglements cause us to go through life with weights slowing us down. Keeping us down, burdening our souls, and sometimes knocking the wind out of us. Keeping us confident and moving forward in the direction of our destiny.

Being an authentic person is the key to gaining any sort of success. It also helps keep relationships with friends and family close and reliable. I have always found that people that try to portray themselves as someone that they aren’t get caught out easily and I just think what is the point? Stay humble, stay grounded, work hard and good things will come.
I agree Michael, Staying humble, grounded, work hard and the good things will come. All these things are rooted in authenticity. Thanks for your feedback!
Hi Jamie – As someone who wants to live out my “God-given purpose,” if I am going to act on my “personal beliefs and convictions”, I need to be certain that those beliefs and convictions are centered in what Christ teaches. What are your thoughts on that? I know you said Jesus was your favorite rabbi. He was a great Teacher and a good person, but He is also God. What is has said is more than important and good, it is the Truth. Indeed, HE is the Truth.
Hi Scott,
Well, Jesus is a Rabbi “and” He is God the Son. 2/3 rds. of the Holy Trinity. Jesus and God are one and then He sent the comforter the Holy Spirit once he completed His work on Earth.
I think a person’s authenticity should be rooted in God’s given purpose for their lives, personal beliefs, and convictions. If you are a believer.
But everyone doesn’t profess to follow Jesus’ teachings because they want nothing to do with religion. And they think they must profess Christianity to believe that Jesus is the son of God. When you don’t.
I think the religion of Christianity has tainted the relationship that God designed for us to have, as humankind.
And I am glad that I know this truth. And hopefully, this truth will set someone free when they read it.
Thank you for commenting, Scott! I appreciate it.
