LadiSoul is the performance name of Jamie London Clay, a Chicago-based soul vocalist, cover artist, and live performer with over twenty years of professional experience bringing soulful music to life across the Chicagoland area and beyond.
She is not just a singer. She is an interpreter. A translator of sound. Someone who takes a song you already know and delivers it in a way that makes you feel it for the first time.
Who Is LadiSoul?
My name is Jamie London Clay. I perform as LadiSoul.
I was born in Chicago, raised in Detroit, and I have called Chicago home again. I started singing at age 8 in the church, where music was not entertainment but expression, worship, and truth. That foundation never left me. It shaped everything about the way I hear music, deliver it, and connect with an audience.
As I grew into adulthood, that gift evolved. What started in the church expanded into soul, R&B, jazz, blues, neo soul, pop, rock, gospel, funk, house, disco, reggae, country, and more. The genre changed. The depth stayed the same.
For over twenty years, I have worked as a professional vocalist singing covers across the Chicagoland area, performing at private events, live venues, open mics, and special engagements for people who come to me for my sound.
I have one original composition, Freedom Love available now on all digital music platforms.
And as LadiSoul, I am also the host of LadiSoul Sings on the Jamie London Clay Show on YouTube, where I perform covers, share live sets, and carry the current Letters series, where each song is expressed as a letter addressed to a specific subject, person, or season of life.

My repertoire includes Soul, R&B, Neo Soul, Jazz, Blues, Gospel, Christian, Rock, Pop, Funk, House, Dance, Disco, Reggae, Country, and the classic sounds of the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
My musical influences include Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Lauryn Hill, Gladys Knight, Whitney Houston, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Chaka Khan, Anita Baker, Michael Jackson, Prince, and many more.
I am most known for my interpretation of other people’s music. I always respect the heart of the original — but I deliver it my way. Through my own lived experience, my faith, and my emotional intelligence. That is what makes a LadiSoul performance different from a standard cover act.
