This Is the Season I Stop Comparing and Start Becoming
Do you feel like comparison is stealing your peace and power? Here’s how I chose to stop shrinking, own my voice, and step into my soul-aligned season of becoming.
I’m done shrinking. And I mean that.
Lately, I’ve felt a wave of exhaustion I couldn’t explain—the kind that lives not just in your body but your spirit. The workouts were consistent. The grind was familiar. But beneath the discipline was something more profound—an ache, a grief, a quiet cry for alignment.
I scrolled, overanalyzed, and measured my worth by someone else’s moment. Not because I wasn’t proud of my voice. But because somewhere deep down, I was still wondering if mine was enough.
Comparison is a thief, and I realized I had let it rob me of too many moments.
The Cost of Comparison
The comparison doesn’t just distract you — it drains you. It causes you to:
- Delay your vision because it doesn’t look like theirs.
- Doubt your voice because it doesn’t sound like theirs.
- Dim your light because you’re afraid it’s too much — or not enough.
I’ve been there. I’ve asked:
- “Why hasn’t it happened to me yet?”
- “What if I’m behind?”
- “What if no one is listening?”
And those questions? They aren’t rooted in truth. They’re rooted in fear. And I don’t serve fear. I serve a purpose.
The Breakthrough Moment
The shift arrived without making a sound. It didn’t happen in a sermon or a strategy session. It came in stillness. In these moments, I finally let myself rest.
I cried. I breathed. I paused long enough to hear my soul whisper:
“You are not behind. You’re being built.”
I discovered I wasn’t tired from being lazy. Chasing someone else’s schedule wore me out.
No more. This is my season of becoming.
How I’m Choosing Becoming Over Performing
Here’s what I’m doing differently now — and maybe you’re ready too:
1. I rest without guilt.
Because rest is a form of spiritual alignment, it says, “I trust that I am held.”
2. I created it without apology.
Whether it’s my music, coaching, writing, or art, I no longer filter my voice to be acceptable.
3. I show up in my full power.
Even if my audience is still growing and the algorithm doesn’t applaud, I’m not here to go viral; I’m here to go visible with vision and conviction.
4. I stop looking sideways.
No one else’s voice threatens mine. There’s enough room at the table, especially the one God prepared for me.
Affirmations for Your Becoming Season
Speak these aloud. Write them. Tattoo them on your soul if you have to:
- “I no longer compare; I create.”
- “I trust the timing of my anointing.”
- “I cherish my sacred voice.” My process is prophetic.”
- “I rest, rise, release what isn’t mine.”
- “This is the season I become who I’ve always been.”

Final Word: You’re Not Alone. You’re Becoming.
If you’ve been quietly doubting, shrinking, scrolling, or second-guessing — I see you.
Let this post be your confirmation: You’re not too late, you’re not too much, and you’re not behind. You’re becoming.
